'Dancing with the Stars' Dedication Night: no one went home, scores, and the biggest moments
The most common question about Tuesday’s Dancing with the Stars was simple: who went home? The answer: nobody. “Dancing with the stars dedication night” drew more than 50,000 US searches overnight, according to Google Trends, along with “DWTS elimination tonight,” “Tyler Cameron” and “Ezra Frech mom.”
(Julia Stiles’ Heath Ledger tribute and the 10 Things I Hate About You reunion from the same episode have their own story on WhatTrendz today.)
Who was eliminated on Dedication Night?
No one. Co-host Alfonso Ribeiro went through the usual elimination suspense, then told all 10 couples they were safe. “On such a special night, we didn’t want anyone sent home,” co-host Julianne Hough said, according to USA TODAY.
There’s a catch: the night’s judges’ scores and viewer votes carry over to next Tuesday, Oct. 27, when two couples will be eliminated, USA TODAY and TV Insider reported.

Ezra Frech’s dance for his mom, and the season’s first 10
Paralympian Ezra Frech dedicated his contemporary routine to his mother, Bahar Soomekh, who joined him and partner Daniella Karagach on the floor, according to Entertainment Weekly. Guest judge Kym Johnson gave the pair the first 10 of the season.
Tyler Cameron’s baby news
The night was also a big one for Tyler Cameron, who announced with his fiancée, Tate Madden, that they are expecting their first baby, Us Weekly reported. That helps explain the burst of searches for “Tate Madden” and “Tyler Cameron fiancé.”
Val Chmerkovskiy’s absence
Viewers also noticed a pro missing from the ballroom. Ribeiro acknowledged at the top of the show that Val Chmerkovskiy was absent, with Alan Bersten partnering Jenna Dewan instead. Us Weekly reported that Chmerkovskiy was suspended for a week after a controversial post about judge Carrie Ann Inaba, and that he has since apologized publicly.
The judges, and other tributes
Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli were joined by guest judge Kym Johnson. Other tributes included Tatyana Ali’s dance honoring her late Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star James Avery.
When is DWTS on?
Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, per Us Weekly. The next episode, with the double elimination, is Oct. 27.
