Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn

The main event was a champion vs. champion match for the men’s Crown Jewel title. CBS Sports described it as a “very stiff test” for Reigns. Zayn kept Reigns on the defensive early with quick pin attempts, and he reversed several of Reigns’ signature moves late in the match.

At one point, Reigns accidentally hit referee Charles Robinson with a Superman Punch. Zayn then kicked the referee himself in frustration, according to CBS. Reigns eventually won with back-to-back spears.

After the match, Zayn stopped Triple H from handing Reigns the Crown Jewel championship and offered a handshake. Reigns slapped his hand away, and then the two hugged. CBS graded the match B+ and called it a win-win: Reigns got the clean victory and Zayn earned his respect.

Chelsea Green wins, then loses the women’s title

Green beat Liv Morgan by holding the ropes during Morgan’s Oblivion attempt and falling on top of her for a jackknife pin. Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez had come to ringside earlier, before Morgan sent them to the back.

Morgan attacked Green during her post-match celebration, and Stratton’s music hit. Green fought off Judgment Day. Stratton, her friend, then turned on her, hitting Green with the Money in the Bank briefcase. She cashed in and pinned Green after a moonsault to win the WWE Women’s Championship, CBS reported.

Cody Rhodes outlasts Randy Orton

The opener was a brawl full of weapons. It included a kendo stick, a garbage can, the ring steps, a ladder and a powerbomb through a table. Rhodes crashed through the commentary desk after missing a leap from the top of a ladder.

Late in the match, Orton hit a low blow. Rhodes answered with three Cross Rhodes, and the last one drove Orton’s head into the ring steps and opened a cut. Rhodes then hit a punt, one of Orton’s own signature moves, to keep Orton down for the 10-count. CBS noted that the crowd seemed not to want Rhodes to win, and graded the match B.

New tag team champions and a surprise return

Je’Von Evans and Penta won the World Tag Team Championship from The Vision, Bron Breakker and Austin Theory. Late in the match, Bronson Reed ran in, and then Oba Femi made a surprise return and sent Reed off the stage through a table. Penta hit Theory with a Mexican Destroyer, and Evans followed with an OG Cutter for the win.

CBS noted that Breakker and Theory had held the titles for more than four months without defending them on TV or at a premium live event.
