Rockstar Games published a new set of in-game stills for Grand Theft Auto VI on Nov. 5 under the title The Launch Gallery, giving players a fresh look at Leonida two weeks before the console launch. Beebom and PC Gamer counted 39 screenshots in the drop; Polygon separately reported 36. The Verge framed the gallery as dozens of new images of protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos plus the wider state of Leonida.

The game is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox on Nov. 19, 2026. Rockstar has said preloading opens Nov. 10. Polygon noted that the install needs more than 200 GB of free space.

According to Beebom’s walkthrough of the gallery, the images cluster around a few themes:

  • Jason and Lucia together — bank robberies, nightclub dancing, Vice City sunsets and quieter couple moments.
  • Lucia Caminos alone — often armed, sometimes facing police pressure, continuing a visual motif Rockstar has used in earlier art.
  • Jason Duval alone — confrontations, police chases, weight-lifting and scenes that echo his military background from the launch trailer.
  • Vice City streets and nightlife — dense crowds, strip clubs, barbershops, tattoo parlors and daytime sidewalks packed with NPCs.
  • Wider Leonida — Port Gellhorn, the Leonida Keys and Grassrivers, including aquatic life, swamp characters and animals.

PC Gamer highlighted the gallery’s range: nightlife, wildlife, tactical gear (including what looks like a combat-equipped dog in one Jason shot), Florida Man-style NPCs, police raids, scuba scenes and “terrifying” pore-level facial detail. Polygon likewise stressed Rockstar’s attention to tattoos, hairstyles, undersea creatures and supporting cast, while warning that some club and dancer shots are risqué.

Beebom also flagged a possible Kodak Black cameo in one Vice City still and a chain-dog homage that recalls Franklin and Chop from GTA V. Those readings are fan-facing observations from the screenshots, not separate Rockstar confirmations.

Why Rockstar is dropping stills now

The studio is in the final stretch of a years-long campaign. The Verge noted that launch is about two weeks away and that preloading starts the following week. Beebom quoted Rockstar’s closer on the gallery — “See you in Leonida on November 19” — and suggested this may be the last major pre-launch media dump before downloads begin Nov. 10.

Stills still matter for a title this large. Gameplay trailers move the conversation; high-resolution screenshots let outlets and fans pick apart lighting, crowd density and location variety frame by frame. That is what The Launch Gallery is built for.

Platforms and what is still unknown

Reporting from The Verge, Beebom and Polygon centers on the Nov. 19 console release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox. PC Gamer again noted that a PC date has not been announced, which remains the biggest open question for players who prefer keyboard-and-mouse or want to wait for a sale window. Pre-orders are already live on console storefronts, and Polygon urged players to clear disk space early because of the more-than-200 GB footprint and the download crunch expected when preloads open on Nov. 10.
