Tyrese Maxey scored 15 of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter, LeBron James had 15 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Chicago Bulls 126-107 on Monday night for their fourth straight win.

Philadelphia improved to 7-1, the best record in the Eastern Conference, according to the Associated Press. Chicago fell to 1-6 and has lost five in a row.

Bulls vs. 76ers: the full starting five returns

The headline before tipoff was who was available. The 76ers’ starting lineup of James, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, Maxey and VJ Edgecombe was together again after that group sat out weekend wins over the Knicks on Friday and at Charlotte on Saturday, the AP reported.

Embiid had been listed as questionable with a foot injury. He played 24 minutes, scoring 15 points with eight rebounds, and was not needed in the fourth quarter.

How Philadelphia pulled away

The Sixers led 64-59 at halftime after Caleb Wilson’s 3 at the buzzer kept Chicago close. Philadelphia took control in the third, stretching the lead to 85-68 on a James layup with just under five minutes left in the period.

Maxey had been relatively quiet through three quarters, then opened the fourth by scoring on a drive and stayed aggressive. His 3-pointer with about 6 1/2 minutes left made it 107-96, and James’ three-point play with 5:40 to go pushed the cushion to 16. Brown added back-to-back 3s late to put it away.

James’ passing stood out. He had seven assists in the first half, including two nearly full-court bounce passes to Edgecombe for easy baskets, per the AP.
