Justine Lupe is in the spotlight after Season 3 of Netflix’s “Nobody Wants This” turned her character, Morgan, into one corner of the show’s messiest storyline yet. In new interviews, Lupe and co-star Timothy Simons talked about the love triangle that has fans divided.

Morgan and Sasha finally happen

Season 3 premiered on Netflix on Oct. 22, 2026, with all 10 episodes. With Noah (Adam Brody) and Joanne (Kristen Bell) past their main relationship issues, the season shifts attention to their siblings, TODAY reported.

Esther (Jackie Tohn) asks her husband Sasha (Simons), Noah’s brother, for a separation. That leaves Sasha free to act on his long-simmering spark with Joanne’s sister Morgan (Lupe). During a trip to New York, the two finally get together, according to TODAY.

Then Morgan takes an early flight home to Los Angeles, leaving Sasha alone in a New York hotel. By the time she tries to win him back, Sasha has become more measured, and he also sleeps with Esther.

What Justine Lupe said

Lupe told TODAY.com that Morgan’s exit changed everything. “It gave him a moment to get reasonable, for where he’s at and how he can properly take care of himself. If she had not left, he probably would have been swept up,” she said.

Asked what should happen next, Lupe said she “doesn’t have a strong opinion,” TODAY reported.

What Timothy Simons said

Simons said he was “excited” for the characters to cross that line. “Story-wise, I think it’s one of those things that’s been there for a while. If you don’t address it, it’ll just end up hanging too long,” he told TODAY.com, adding that he felt the show handled it “in a responsible and earned way.”

He described Sasha as torn between the “safety and familiarity” of Esther, with whom he shares a daughter, and Morgan. He called Morgan and Sasha “weirdo, kindred spirits that fit the same role in their families.”

Unlike Lupe, Simons does have a view on where things should go, but he’s keeping it to himself. “I’m not a writer. I’m not a director. It might not be the best thing for the show. That’s out of my hands. But I do have a personal opinion,” he said.

Will there be a “Nobody Wants This” Season 4?

Netflix has not officially renewed the show for a fourth season, People reported. Creator Erin Foster has said she has “more story to tell,” according to Deadline. Any renewal decision rests with Netflix.

Justine Lupe’s next project

Away from the show, Deadline reported this month that Lupe is set to lead “Settling,” a TV series in development at Amazon. She also recently appeared in a TJ Maxx commercial, and she has discussed motherhood and marriage in a TODAY interview while promoting the new season.
