What we know about Komanche’s death
His manager, Byron Reyes, confirmed the death on Instagram after first posting that Komanche “apparently” had died in Monterrey, then adding that he had spoken with the family, El País reported (translated). People reported that Reyes wrote, in a translated post, “you will leave a huge void in everyone.”
Authorities in the state of Nuevo León were called to a home in Monterrey’s Paseo de las Cumbres neighborhood on the evening of Sunday, Oct. 25, where a man was found dead, according to Récord. Investigators found no visible signs of violence, the outlet said.
Cause of death not confirmed
No cause of death has been publicly confirmed, People reported. The Nuevo León prosecutor’s office classified the case as a “death pending autopsy,” Récord reported. Preliminary reports pointed to possible suicide, but authorities said the cause still had to be established by forensic examination, and the formal identification of the body was also part of the investigation, according to Récord.
Some social media posts floated other theories. Récord said authorities had not backed those versions or linked any personal or financial problems the streamer had discussed to his death.
Manager speaks out about online bullying
Reyes also used his posts to criticize online harassment. “Bullying at any scale is not a game,” he wrote in an Instagram Story, according to People. In his main post, he wrote that people online believe they have “the right to be able to point out or criticize others without even knowing them,” adding that he hoped the loss would make people think before criticizing others.
