Every NHL team has a new jersey. On Monday, the league and Fanatics unveiled Hometown Remix, a special edition uniform, apparel and headwear program covering all 32 clubs, with jerseys and fan gear on sale the same day at NHL Shop, Fanatics.com and team stores.

According to NHL.com, the program has been in development for two years. It is the first full 32-team special edition program Fanatics has designed since it became the league’s on-ice uniform partner in 2024.

What are the NHL Hometown Remix jerseys?

The NHL says every Hometown Remix jersey was designed from scratch, giving each club an entirely new look built around its city and fans. The designs draw on local landmarks, motifs and culture.

“Few symbols in sports carry the history, pride, and emotional connection of an NHL sweater,” said Brian Jennings, the NHL’s senior executive vice president and chief partnerships and club strategy officer. “Hometown Remix builds on that legacy in a fresh and authentic way, celebrating the fans, culture and communities that make each NHL market unique.”

Dom Fillion, Fanatics’ vice president of creative design, called it “the most exciting initiative our team has designed and delivered with our partners since we hit the ice with the NHL in 2024.”

Hometown Remix design highlights

The league and Fanatics described several of the looks:

  • Chicago Blackhawks: The current Blackhawks logo on a vivid green base with gold shoulder patches. Each sleeve has four debossed six-pointed stars, a nod to the Chicago city flag.
  • Florida Panthers: Inspired by a graphic beach tee, with a remixed version of the team’s throwback shoulder-patch logo as the front crest.
  • San Jose Sharks: A tribute to the pregame Sharks Head, with the SJ mark front and center.
  • Toronto Maple Leafs: The original Maple Leafs logo, remixed with etched leaf-vein detailing on the crest.
  • Winnipeg Jets: A full aurora borealis scene on the hem, with a blue-to-light-green gradient on the sleeves.

The NHL has published design notes for all 32 clubs on NHL.com.

When will teams wear them?

Each team will wear its Hometown Remix uniform several times during the 2026-27 season. The Panthers, Blackhawks and Sharks were set to wear theirs first on Monday night. The league says 261 games will feature at least one team in Hometown Remix uniforms, and 19 of those games will have both teams wearing the alternate look.

The launch film

The release came with a short film, “The Fabric of Your Town, Unlocked,” that shows Hometown Remix jerseys being ceremonially unlocked in different settings. Fanatics said it includes a cameo by entertainer and influencer Fanum.

Fanatics and NHL special editions

Hometown Remix is Fanatics’ first leaguewide special edition program, but not its first special NHL design. The company has made uniforms for the 4 Nations Face-Off, the NHL Winter Classic, Stadium Series and Heritage Classic, and the upcoming 2027 NHL All-Star festivities, along with team anniversary and centennial alternates.
